Community Partners of Mothers' Milk Bank California

At Mothers’ Milk Bank California, we are proud to collaborate with a network of dedicated community partners who share our commitment to supporting breastfeeding and ensuring that every baby has access to the life-saving benefits of breast milk. Our partnerships are crucial in creating a strong, supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers and their families, as well as providing donor breast milk to those who are unable to breastfeed.

Our Valued Community Partners

The California Breastfeeding Coalition’s (CBC) mission is to improve the health and well-being of Californians by working together to protect, promote, and support lactation and human milk feeding. The CBC offers resources for healthcare providers, including education series, a hospital initiative, and guidelines for community health centers. They provide information on breastfeeding basics, common challenges, and what to expect from a baby while nursing. They also focus on the advocacy of lactation rights and equitable access.

BreastfeedLA is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of infants and families through education, outreach, and advocacy to promote and support breastfeeding.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children – better known as the WIC program – serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.
